Christmas Book report
Christmas Book Report
We read a book for our next book report. Then we had to fill out an accordion book report where we told about the story elements like character, problem, solution and setting. We had to write and draw pictures. Then, we folded it back up like a package and tied a bow and placed them under our Christmas tree. -2LC foodies

Mother Mary
In honor of the Feats of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th we created pictures of Mary, the mother of Jesus. We drew the picture all in oil pastels and learned to blend colors. The pictures are hanging in our classroom to honor Mary. -2LC foodies
Math Christmas Lights
Math Christmas Lights
We made Christmas lights using our fingerprints. Then, we used glitter to make the string and added math problems of either addition and subtraction or even multiplication to add to the lights. It was fun to add the different problems to the lights.

Baby Jesus Art
Baby Jesus Art
In art class we made pictures of the Baby Jesus in the manger. First, we drew Jesus with our pencils and then used oil pastels to blend the colors. Native American Tribes
We had to go on the computer and draw the Native American tribes on Canvastic. We wrote and read about the Indians. We picked a tribe and then we wrote about it on our sloppy copy and then we wrote the neat copy.

Turkey Thanksgiving Math
Turkey Thanksgiving Math
First, We had to cut out the feathers and head. Next, you cut out the body. Then, you cut out the beak and the gobble. Then, we did the eyes and the math problems. Then we glued it on a brown piece of paper.

The Lost Sheep
The Lost Sheep
First, we had to cut out a head and four strips for legs. Then , we had to glue it. Finally we had to pull out cotton from the cotton balls to make the sheep's wool. We wrote the sheep left from the flock because he was curious of what was around him. The lesson was to never run away from family and friends and God will always forgive you.

First, we had to make an animal out of cotton balls. We had to write on a paper about it and then we had to type it. We had to read a book about an animal and write about what they are called, where they live, and what they eat. You could staple or sew your animal.

You need to make it really, really neat. First, we made the world. Second, we made the body and it had to be you! Next, we had to color the pictures and fill in the flip book. In the book we had all about me and the cities and the world.

The Seven Continents
There are seven continents. We tore paper and we wrote the places where everything was on the map. We also put the oceans on the map. We had to put them in the right order. We made shapes out of the paper.

We learned how to floss by going up and down and side to side. We learned how to make the braces wire curved and straight. He puts fire on it to make it straight and cold makes it curved. We made a mold out of our thumb instead of in our teeth.

At the museum we cleaned the dirty clothes like in the olden days. We also had a tea party and learned that is is rude to raise your pinky. We bought things in a store in the olden days. Halloween Fun!
On Halloween we had centers with a whipped cream hunt, we went on a ghost hunt, we did an art project and we made ghost bananas. We made pumpkins out of cuties and celery. At the carnival we had games like Witch's Brew which was dried ice. We also had bowling and it was next to our classroom. We got soaking wet!-Root Beer Float and Ice Cream Cone

Matisse Art
Matisse Art
In art class this week we made art inspired by the artist Matisse. We had to create a black shape of a person falling and then glue it onto the blue sheet. Then, we added a red heart on the person and also sun bursts in the sky. It was fun to see the real artist's picture and try to copy it our own way. Nearpod Place Value
One of our favorite apps to use in math is Nearpod. The teacher makes problems on her ipad and then shoots the problems to our ipads. We have to answer the questions and when we hit send our answers go to her ipad and she can see out work. Then, she can share our work and show each of us how others in our group solved the problems different ways. It is fun to do this in our math rotations. 2LC foodies.Candy Corn Place Value

First, we chose a number with three digits and had to write the number on the top of the candy corn we made. Then, we drew the number using tens and ones cubes.After that, we said what ten more and ten less would be and outlined our work in sharpie. It was fun to make the candy corn and make it with math problems. 2LC foodies

Frankenstein Monsters
We created Frankenstein monsters in class. We had to use construction paper and make our our Frankenstein. We had to add detail. Then, we had to write seven sentences about the creature. We had to say what he likes to do, what he likes to wear and where he spends his time. We had to use our describing words when writing. Then we attached it to our Frankenstein. -2LC foodies
